Now Available for Review

Winter Park, Florida--March 13th, 2017-- John King has published a new e-book titled THRASHING TAILS, which consists of urban fantasy stories revolving around an anti-hero dragon. It is available on Smashwords.com and can be purchased for only $2.99.

Fantasy stories have often cast the creatures known as dragons into the spotlight as enigmatic mentors or companions at best, and violent and bloodthirsty villains at worst. But what of a dragon that was neither hero nor villain? Simply a person trying to find their way in life?

In the latest published e-book THRASHING TAILS, emerging author John King published a collection of urban fantasy stories about Rocket, a dragon living in modern day America, who struggles with the instincts of a dragon clashing with American culture. Throughout the stories, she remains neither a pure hero nor a black-hearted villain. In "The Dog Squad" and "The Parking Lot," she shows off a villainous side when she fights various humans. However, in "My Life with a Teenage Dragon," she shows her caring and heroic side when she comes to the defense of a civilian. The story concludes in "How Did It Come to This?" where Rocket's moral grayness is considered unacceptable by the one person she was trying to please the most.

In this fashion, Rocket is not like the dragons we are used to: she's a complicated individual, who's adventures will entertain any dragon lover or teenager.

Smashwords.com provided Mr. King with the opportunity to publish this work. Smashwords.com is an e-book distribution site that gives authors full autonomy over the publishing process. Readers can sample THRASHING TAILS on this side, and the e-books are compatible with smartphones, tablets and e-readers.
